So here's some new stuff for you!
First off, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all :)
During the week before Christmas, I was at this thing called Refuge where I volunteer most friday nights. We had another church come in who graciously wanted to throw all the kids we work with there a Christmas party! We had a guest speaker come in and he told this story about a sheep. I don't remember the stroy right now, but I do remember that it reminded me of my favorite passage in the bible: Luke 15;4-7. it goes like this:
4 “Suppose . "one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. " "
So, a weird fact about sheep, if they wander off, it's like literally impossible for them to find their way back home. They don't have like a built in homing beacon type of thing like a dog or a cow would. They will literally wander aimlessly until something either eats them, or the wander into water and drown ( if their wool gets wet, it becomes too heavy for them and they get swept away in the current..).Depressing right? Sheep rely heavily on their shepherd. This is my favorite story because it says that when he finds his lost sheep, "he joyfully puts it on his shoulders" and then later he rejoices in the finding. The only way I can really describe this rejocing (if not a weak description but bear with me) is say you lost your phone. If you're like me, you'll spend hours searching for it, tearing apart your room along the way. & the second you find it? yeah, that kinda feeling :)
The other part that really strikes me is when the verse says that the shephed throws the sheep over his shoulders. He does this in order to take the upmost care of the sheep, carrying it back through all the pain and strife it had gone through to get so lost. In the same way, once you allow God to find you, He will literally pick you up and carry you through everything. He will take the pain upon himself just to get you, yes YOU back home. it doesn't matter to God what kind of horrible crap you've gone trhough or done, what truly mtters is getting you back into the flock.
I know a lot of you are thinking "You say this, and I'm sure it applies to many, but I've just done too many horrible things.. there's no way that God to ever care about me like that."
This is where you are wrong.
I myself have asked that question countless times. I've felt the exact same way about the things I've done in the past. But I'm here to tell you right here right now, whatever it is you've done, God's unfailing perfect love, casts it all away. He loves you too much to let anything get inbetween you and Him. How do I know this for sure? Well, Lucky you, I'm prepared with a few more verses to help you.
the first is this:
"Are not 5 sparrows sold for only 2 pennies, yet not one is forgotten by God. Indeed, even the hairs
on your head are numbered, you are worth so much more than sparrows." Luke 21:6
Now, I don't know about you, but as you can tell from my videos, I have a loottttttt of hair! I wouldn't ever try counting all the individual strands! The mere idea just is daunting enough! Yet, God knows just how many I have. & how many you have! Just think with me here a moment. God, the creator of the universe, the one who put the very stars in sky, knows how many hairs are on your head. Here's a couple quick facts for you. On the average night, there is about 2,500 stars visible at any given point in time. That's way more than I care to count! But get this; in just our milky way galaxy, there's about 400 Billion, yes billion, stars. In just our galaxy alone. Scientists don't even know just how many galaxies there are out there! Each with billions of stars of their own. Yet God put each and every one of them in their place. And even named them! This same God knows how many hairs are on your head.
The first part about the sparrows is also really imporant to grasp. Their are abajillions of sparrows out there. (yes, I made up that word, no I don't care that I made it up :P) there are tons and tons of sparrows that back in those times you could by a hundred for less than half a dollar. Yet God remembers each and every one of them and you are worth so much more than a handful of sparrows. That brings us to our next one:

"You were bought at a high price." 1 Corinthians 6:20
You see, not only did God make you, but he made everything about you beautiful and perfect. Nothing of God's creations is ever a mistake, he loves you so much that he doesn't want to ever be seperated from you. He bought you at the price of his own son's life. If that's not freaking amazing, I don't know what is! :)
So the next time you feel lost, or alone, or like you arent worth anything, just go outside and look at all those stars. God put each one of them there and knows the name of everyone single one of the, Yet, this same God knows the number of hairs on that beautiful head of yours. He
created you so wonderfully and perfectly and he loves you so much as to send his

son, His very own son to die for you. Why? Because you are His. You are his lost sheep he is so desperately searching for. He made you; you are His masterpiece desgined for a perfect
purpose. Not some random configuration of flesh and bones. and look up. Look up at all those stars and remember that God put each of them there, and not once has he forgotten about you. He's searching with everything He has looking for you, His lost sheep. Because you are worth more to him than all the stars in the sky.
God loves you,
& So do I!
Stay Strong.
